R&D Center CAD Leader (leading production group!!)

JOB VISIONARY:

Group CAD Leader defines and draws the parts and product in accordance with customer specifications and provides direct support the local team of CAD Engineers to assure R&D Technology Center the best high-quality project results.


CORE MISSION:

• Support the company´s projects vision and goals in performance of daily activities while ensuring adherence to its standards, guidelines and professional environment.
• Develop excellence of the team´s CATIA knowledge, its terminology as well as DESIGN OPERATIONS.
• Analyze monthly accrued hours, by project, and construct the annual budget.
• Monitor the MARKET TRENDS and share the knowledge with the rest of engineering group.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT and achievement of quality goals.
• Drive realization of projects in a TIMELY MANNER through effective project management and efficient practices.


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

• Has the hierarchical responsibility of CAD Engineering team (10+)
• Establish an overview of resources and personnel loading:
- - - Anticipate possible resources to recruit or subcontract
- - - Transfer resources between projects
- - - Re-allocate resources between customers
• Participate in the recruitment of CAD Engineers.


TECHNICAL KOMPETENCIES:

• Design technical solutions (sketches, sections, partial models, global models, overall dimensions, cinematic).
• Draw the CAD files in accordance with POAE CAD methodology and the CAD specifications of both customer and POAE.
• Manage the CAD file incoming and outgoing with customer and suppliers.
• Comply with design rules used for special parts, in order to get cosmetic parts and/or of special asked characteristics.
• Update the attributes under Keops concerning the relevant parts (volume, theor. weight, projected area, painted area).
• Integrate functionnal gaps and tuning gaps as asked by the project.
• Can be demoulded in accordance with both the project and POAE standard specifications :

- - - Main demoulding direction
- - - Parting plane position
- - - Draft angles
- - - Mould closing angles
- - - Parting plane surface area
- - - Movements of cores without any interference between each other and the part itself
