Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The MISSION of this role is to:

o Identify, assess and promote growth opportunities (M&A) for all product lines with new and existing customers and their subsidiaries in line with Division “Strategic Plan”
o Identify new Greenfield opportunities for new customers
o Number of projects presented to business development director
o Quality of position paper including:- rationale for target, risk and opportunities assessment, options available (full acquisition, JVs…), valuation Activity indicators (number of meetings with customer, quality

Main ACTIVITIES:

o In line with Corporate and Division strategic development objectives, identify strategic markets and recommend potential acquisitions and partnerships in liaison with Division Business Development Director
o Network with the Division’s regional sales organizations to identify and be up to date with customers’ strategies (footprint evolution, products evolution...) and consequent potential opportunities
o Participate in the “Strategic Plan” construction by proposing best external growths alternatives to fit Division strategy
o Participate in the business development acquisition/disposal process by supporting the Business Development Director and the Group M&A Department
o Develop and share knowledge of the competition in region (strategy, products and services, organization, development projects, product offer) in order to track the Division competitive positioning
o Develop professional network by attending regional events (fairs, OEM events, Supplier forums …)
o Seek constant approval from Business Unit Director and Business Development Director throughout potential negotiation process
o Prepare “teaser” document and present it to Business Development Director for “go/no go” on opportunities
o If go, prepare position paper to be discussed at Management Committee for approval

o Minimum 4 years in business development in industry or extensive experience in automotive sales
o Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
