Job description, responsibilities and duties

JOB MISSION:

• manage customer contractual benchmarks conducted by the external benchmarking companies
• perform internal benchmarks (contract and price comparison)
• support pre-sales teams in negotiating best in class benchmark clauses


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. PRE-SALES TEAM SUPPORT

• Support and advise pre-sales teams to negotiate best in class benchmark clause (including price reviews). Ensure all critical elements are identified and included in the clause for fair comparison and post sales risk reduction.
• Assist pre-sales team in negotiating the benchmark clause. Differentiate critical points from not critical and use escalation process where required.
• Work in collaboration with legal and commercial teams.

2. MANAGE CUSTOMER CONTRACTUAL BENCHMARKS THROUGH EXTERNAL BENCHMARK COMPANIES:

• Manage benchmarker selection process:
o define requirements for the benchmarker in collaboration with the customer
o draft RFP, review responses
o make recommendation for selection

• Contribute to the benchmark contract negotiation, in cooperation with sourcing.
• Manage project planning process: define requirements, facilitate approvals by all parties.
• Lead information submission process:
o gathering and analysis
o approvals by stakeholders
o submission to the benchmarker

• Manage internal reviews by all stakeholders and sign off all key milestones:
o contract review
o service mapping
o data submission
o reference group selection
o service catalogue comparison
o normalisation
o results review

• Manage benchmarker feedback process.
• Negotiate disputed items, identify critical and non critical points, use escalation process where necessary.
• Control, challenge, and validate benchmark results.
• Capitalize on results from benchmark.

3. PERFORM INTERNAL BENCHMARKS (contract comparison, price review preparation, proactive benchmark activities...)

• Proactively contact GCPs to assess benchmarking needs.
• Deliver internal benchmark for Group price market competitiveness to:
o support contractual price reviews, define the correct price review strategy
o prepare a contractual benchmark strategy
o convince the customer to avoid renewal based on benchmark reports

• carry out internal studies in all aspects of specific services

4. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF BENCHMARK METHODS

• Provide support for the development of alternate benchmarking methods.
• Continuously discuss benchmark methodologies with benchmarkers.
• Build benchmarking support network internally and externally.
• Monitor price review clauses (ex: capping model, ...).
• Support best practice sharing with GCP, commercial management and business units.

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

• Be a self-starter - ability to work independently, take initiatives in a virtual team environment and to adapt to different business cultures
•• Strong analytical, financial skills
• Advanced EXCEL skills
•• Ability to work on tight deadlines
• Ability to manage and to handle multi projects and multi customers environment simultaneously
•• Costing and/or pricing knowledge
• Experience in telecommunications domains (Voice, Mobiles, PBX, Data) is a plus
•• Relationship management within complex organizations.
• Experience in marketing and pricing is welcome
•• International experience and multicultural project experience preferred
