Job description, responsibilities and duties
The client is a large European Cable Operator offering triple-play and over-the- top video services to its customers. The client is using an Enterprise Data Solution to support its provisioning flow; this system holds data from various BSS and OSS components and makes this data available to other components which need fast access to this data.
As part of this activity, the client is looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join its group to support the solution. The SE will work closely with other internal groups and vendors providing components of the solution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A junior engineer is need for a project in the Application Services Department with following responsibilities:
• Support and execute designed testing procedures according test plans
• Analyze and validate test executions and test results
• Prepare test reports, test surveys and analyses
• Preparing test environments and conditions per testing procedures and design for
development and integration project’s phases
• Support system installation and integration tasks
• Basic troubleshooting and identifying issue, follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
• Prepare accurate and timely reports
LOCATION
The majority of the work will be in Amsterdam, with approximately one week per month in Bratislava.

Requirements for the employee
Candidates with education suit the position
University education (Bachelor's degree)
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Other knowledge
UNIX/Linux administration - Basic
Personality requirements and skills
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
• minimum of 3 years experience in a Technical Support environment.
• degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent
• proven basic working experience, at least 3 years
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• ability to plan and prioritize work load with supervision
• good attention to detail and ability to show initiative
• willing to travel to abroad
• knowledge of:
o operating systems: Unix and Linux, utilities and scripting – high level
o office tools: MS Office, ME Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook – high level
o data stories: Oracle (SQL), LDAP directory – user level
o other tools: SoapUI, SQLDeveloper, LDAPBrowser, FileZilla, PSPAD, Notepad++,
JaveDecompiler tools – basic knowledge
o protocols: XML, SOAP, REST, HTML, SQL, LDAP – user knowledge
DESIREABLE SKILLS
• Programming experience is a plus. Specific knowledge of Java is desirable, but not mandatory
• Experience in telecommunications sector
