Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is accountable for working with team of developers and testers and removing impediments to the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal/deliverables. The Scrum Master acts as a buffer between the team and any distracting influences. The Scrum Master ensures that the Scrum process is used as intended. A key part of the Scrum Master’s role is to keep the team focused on the tasks at hand. The Scrum Master is the enforcer of the rules of Scrum, often chairs key meetings, and challenges the team to improve.
The Scrum Master in the multiple team and product environment acts as a team deputy and coordinator on a global level across multiple teams working on the same product or across multiple products. The Scrum Master works as an agile evangelist, change leader and process improvement leader within his own team or across multiple teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organization, setting the goal and agenda and facilitation of the scrum meetings (daily, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective) within the team
• Participation in the coordination activities (scrum of scrum)
• Maintenance and monitoring of the team planning and performance tools (capacity planning, burndown chart, velocity)
• Driving the improvement activities in the team (retrospective, analyzing the impediments in the proces, finding the solutions and tracking of the progress in their implementation)
• Acting as a change leader in his/her own team
• Making sure the overal proces is being systematically improved by active participation on the department or cross departments improvement activities and negotiating with other how to move forward
• Making sure that everyone in the team is aligned with the business goals and that the team delivers the right output and make the internal or external customers happy
• Systematically work on his/her own education and also education of the team and the people the team cooperated in the agile Development area, use the new ideas for maintaining and updating of the vision for the agile proces in the team/department.
