Job description, responsibilities and duties

Position Summary:
Technical Architect in Storage & EBR is a creative and highly productive architect who designs storage & backup solutions using fiber channel & IP-based SAN & Backup appliances. He must be able to work independently to solve complex problems as well as be able to lead cross functional groups to meet common goals and objectives. This assignment will involve designing complex storage & backup solutions across multiple data centers using several different Storage & Backup solutions including EMC, Hitachi (HDS and SUN), HP & NetApp.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Participating in all phases of Storage & Backup design
• Architecting clustering and cache mirroring solutions
• Gathering requirements and clarifying with clients what storage & backup additions/changes are needed
• Research and evaluate best solutions and provide robust storage &backup designs
• Creating tickets for storage & backup needs, coordinating with server admins and storage & backup operations to implement designs
• Reporting and Analysis
• Planning
• Non Project Administration

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• At least 1 - 2 years of experience with administration of WIN, UNIX, Linux, Solaris servers
• Advanced English language
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel, Tape Libraries, Deduplication and RAID groups - will be a big advantage
• Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, Routers, TCP/IP, iSCSI)
• Knowledge of virtualizations & cloud technologies, hands on VMware experience is a plus
• Working experience in an enterprise environment
• Hands on SAN/NAS experience is a plus
• Project management experience is a plus
• Experience with ITIL based processes
• Hands on backup/restore experience
• Excellent documentation and planning skills
• Excellent oral and written skills
