Job description, responsibilities and duties
Scope of responsibilities:
Senior Network Engineer provides engineering support for project implementations and steady state. Must be comfortable with regularly interacting and leading discussions with the customer. Candidate must be able to maintain a strong vendor relationship with regular interaction. Assist in managing any queries or concerns from IBM.
Key responsibilities:
• Performs data center build outs, LAN optimization and configuration, IP management, DNS management, firewall oversight.
• Reviewing and approving MACD type request for LAN, FW, IP and DNS is before it goes off to MLAN, MSS and IP/DNS support.
• Oversees Firewall requests and assists in scripting for firewalls.
• Incident management for Sev1 and sev2 issues
• Technical focal for the rest of the LCM team
• Reviews service requests and swivels to internal ATT teams
• Works as a tier 3 support for GCSC during troubleshooting calls
• Balances workload amongst team members to ensure all work is being covered
• Presents monthly stewardship reporting to customer
Working hours:
US Working hours 14:00 to 22:30 CET

Education:
Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience.
Language skills:
English – upper intermediate both written and verbal.
Required skills:
Advanced knowledge in the area of networking and Cisco equipment configuration
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
Cisco certification (CCNP, CCNA/CCNP Security, CCDA/CCDP or higher)
Desired skills / experience:
• Juniper switching and routing
• Firewalls – Cisco ASA, Checkpoint
• LoadBalancers – CSS, ACE, F5
• Infoblox – DNS
