Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Network engineer participates on design and deploys network solutions, performs network changes of medium and high complexity
- Configures wireless devices and interacts with internal and external partners to complete tasks
- Person in this position will determine feasibility of technical solutions; will assist in the root cause determination of network and related problems
- Able to solve complex technical problems, including those which require research and/or extensive analysis in order to resolve
- Decisions impact both AT&T internal organizations and the availability, reliability and resiliency of client networks
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert across multiple teams and organizations.
- Mentors junior team members
- Participates and leads teams that develop new services. Is looked upon to solve the engineering problems

Personality requirements and skills
- At least 3 years of working experience in networking
- English - advanced
- Knowledge in the area of networking and Cisco equipment configuration
- Minimum entry externally recognized qualification for the Engineering role is CCNA (CCNA Wireless level)
- CCNP working knowledge required, the certificate is an advantage
- Juniper/Aruba and other IT industry certification is an advantage
- Customer focused, presentation skills; strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong data entry and PC skills
