Job description, responsibilities and duties

Location: Brno, Czech Republic
Working hours: Monday – Friday (the groups covers the time from 3PM to 12AM)
Start: ASAP, latest June 2012

Oversees a small/medium project or phases of a larger project. Projects focus on the deployment and operational change control of new products, services, or network upgrades on the U-verse network.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordinating activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
• Responsible for daily executive presentation and able to manage 8 to 10 small/medium complex projects.
• Primary interfaces with departmental leadership to enforce and track business unit issues, training requirements, and to communicate general "all hands" information.
• Manages the operations roll-out plans of individual applications through managing U-verse NOC resources and change management activities
• Manages the operations roll-out larger network releases (Congo, Colorado, Platte) - supporting a
Senior project manager
• Manages the operations roll-out of sub-projects of larger network releases (Congo, Colorado, Platte)
• Provides single point of contact within U-verse Network Operations for individual application project management, Provides contact for Network Release CM management and planning
• Represents U-verse Operations on program management calls
• Provides feedback to program office / HRT during FFA / Control Introduction, Full Deployment
• Conducts daily operations calls for network release project updates
• Conducts daily operations calls for application project updates
• Maintains project management timelines
• Creates CM's associated with individual applications roll-out, Creates CM's associated with network releases across Alcatel TAC, IPTV TAC
• Reports status of projects to leadership (Director and above) when needed

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Required Qualifications:

Must have:
• Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Access
• Excellent Verbal / Written English language skills
• Must be familiar with system's scope and project's objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
• Must be able to analyze, communicate and resolve issues raised during the implementation project process.

Nice to have:
• 2 + years in U-verse Network Operations or Project Management
• Project Management Professional, MCITP, BA/BS, MS, MBA, CCNA, ANRS
• Working to extensive knowledge of U-verse IPTV and the Alcatel Backbone network
