Job description, responsibilities and duties

Description:
The incumbent will work with cutting edge technologies while streamlining AT&T business processes. Responsible for development and/or delivery of GCS BizOps related applications as part of an Agile development team engaged in highly-visible projects within the GDA organization in AT&T.

Key roles and responsibilities: The incumbent will work as an integral part of an agile team to develop and maintain web applications and scripting and to document and design unit tests. Will be required to adhere to the principles of scrum (honesty, openness, and transparency) in all work. May be required to collaborate with other teams within the organization.

Candidate will work very closely with UX/UI specialist on development of front end part of web applications. Candidate must have real work experience from development of medium to large scale sized single page applications, with separated GUI and backend code. Mastery of JavaScript, jQuery and one JS framework (preferably Ember or ReactJS) is required, fluency in HTML, CSS, LESS/SASS is a strong advantage. Familiarity with API consumption is expected – REST or SOAP API, XML, JSON.

Candidate should be familiar with standard development and deployment workflow tools, like JIRA, GIT, Docker, Jenkins as well as Linux (we are using Red Hat and Ubuntu/CentOs). Comprehensive understanding of English with strong written communication skill required. Sense for user experience and user likable design is a major advantage.

Min 3 years of experience with front end development.

Education: Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; Developer or Data Analytics nanodegree.
