Job description, responsibilities and duties

Selected candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining one of the largest internal deployments of Microsoft Skype for Business infrastructure in the world, providing customer support as well as maintenance of federated partners. This is a unique opportunity not only to be part of a large and technically complex project, but also to contribute to the product development through close cooperation with Microsoft.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform software installations, patching and upgrades to applications and layered software packages
- Schedule changes/updates and maintain servers in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures.
- Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Respond to client queries, using troubleshooting and break fix skills to resolve issues efficiently.
- Implement monthly roll up patches on applications as required.
- Cover items out of business hours and “on call” work as required.
- Identify business process inefficiencies and work to improve, and create opportunities of growth.

Additional preferred knowledge and skills:
Experience and knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013 administration, SharePoint Designer, clustering, Network Load Balancing, MS Exchange, VoIP telephony

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Key Competencies and Skills:
Understanding of Windows Server 2008/2012 administration, Active Directory and Group Policy settings.
Experience and knowledge of MS Lync Server 2010/2013 or MS Skype for Business Server 2015, SQL, PowerShell scripting
Fluent English (oral and written).
Ability to organize and work on multiple concurrent tasks, attention to detail

Education and Qualifications:
Ideally a University technical degree and certifications of networking and Microsoft technologies; although not essential provided that the candidate can demonstrate strong technical knowledge
