Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a skilled GDS Ticketing Agent who is responsible for managing flight reservations and issuing tickets using reservation systems such as Galileo or Amadeus. The agent works in the travel industry and plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient ticketing processes for customers.

You will be responsible for:

- Create new ticket bookings in GDS systems such as Amadeus, Galileo,
- Execute ticketing services including initial ticket issuance, revalidation,
- Calculate fares based on airline rules, customer requirements and applicable regulations,
- Handle rebookings and calculate refunds when required,
- Perform schedule change management by searching for alternative flights that align with customer preferences,
- Maintain effective communication with ticketing partners and airlines to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that arise.

- Proficiency in using reservation systems such as Galileo or Amadeus,
- Strong knowledge of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures and travel regulations,
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling ticketing processes,
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) also in English to interact with customers and provide assistance,
- Problem-solving abilities to address schedule changes, cancellations, and customer concerns,
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment,
- Multitasking skills to manage multiple reservations and inquiries simultaneously,
- Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures, technology, and customer requirements.
