Senior Production Engineer / Senior Design Engineer

- Providing technical support to customer for new application development
- Coordinating and oversees, using internal and external resources including CTC, the design, build, assembly and testing of prototype products, working from customer specifications and requirements
- Evaluating existing parts and bookshelf technology for use and adaptation in new applications, including different materials and finishes
- Consulting with internal and customer engineering staff and other pertinent technical support personnel on complex and unique problems
- Ensuring compliance with customer specs and policies through the use of company's policies and procedures including APQP, GDPIM and QS9000
- Creating DFMEAs and tolerance accounts
- Taking an active role in providing design direction and support to designers, counseling and assisting as needed; creating plans to ensure that customer design dates and requirements are met
- Supporting account managers and plant management team in customer/product development activities
- May preparing product drawings using CAD system. May generate cost estimate figures, product specifications and procedures
- May setting up testing procedures and analyze results, developing corrective actions as suggested by testing results
- Maintaining market awareness and proposes technical solutions to product and process issues
- Handling of concessions and change requests (ECRs )
