Technical Consultant (SAP Ariba)

Job Overview:
The position is focused on the technical aspects of the integration of SAP Ariba cloud solutions for Procurement, Sourcing and Contract Management. Technical Consultant’s role is to provide consulting services to the customers’ ERP integration teams in order to support their integration activities with SAP Ariba cloud solutions. As a technical expert, Technical Consultant participates on the architecture decisions and supports deployment, configuration and testing of the master data and transactional data integration interfaces.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ariba Solution Focus
• Assist with various aspects of an SAP Ariba cloud implementation: blueprint/architecture, configuration, system testing and migration to production/go-live
• Assist the customer with the installation and configuration of Ariba integration tools
• Assist the customer with master data extraction from their existing systems, ensuring adherence to master data specifications
• Assist the customer with the configuration and verification of transactional data channels (either file based, Web Services, CXML)

Customer Focus
• Must be capable of supporting the client relationship with some manager assistance
• Should be able to work closely with the client in meeting and exceeding their expectations for the projects they are supporting

Teamwork
• Cooperate with the customer ERP/middleware team and the other Ariba consultants supporting the customer

Required Qualifications:
• University degree in a technical, business, economics or related fields
• Analytical thinking
• Very good knowledge of office tools such as Excel
• Good consulting skills, including written/verbal communication in English and teamwork
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English (B2)
• Basic understanding of middleware software (for example SAP PI, Tibco, IBM WebSphere, Boomi)
• Basic understanding of web and network security standards and protocols (SSL, SSO, HTTPS, certificates)
• Able to travel up to 30% mostly in Europe

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement business processes or tools supporting such processes
• Experience integrating SAP Systems with non-SAP applications
• Basic knowledge of UNIX Shell and Windows command line scripting
• Basic knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL
• Basic knowledge of Javascript or Java
• Experience with databases, CSV and XML files
• Experience with SAP Ariba solutions
• Working knowledge of SAP modules related to Procurement and Invoicing (MM, FI, SRM)
• Other European languages are welcome (German/French/Italian)
• Project management skills
