Product Developer

• Technical university degree, position suitable for fresh graduates
• Common sense, ability to carry out work independently with minimum supervision
• High level of inventiveness, very strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Above average data management and processing skills with knowledge of:
Geospatial data analysis software (e.g. ArcGIS)
Scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, Matlab)
Databases (e.g. MS SQL Server)
MS Excel and other MS Office apps
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English, other languages are also welcome (Czech is an advantage as the team is based in Prague)
• Availability to work extra-hours if needed (especially when dealing with overseas based colleagues or clients)
• An understanding of the insurance / reinsurance business is an advantage


MAIN ROLE: development and delivery of catastrophe risk management solutions for Impact Forecasting clients (insurers and reinsurers)

• Develop detailed understanding of catastrophe models and risk management solutions through involvement in catastrophe models development, implementation and testing
• Analysis of client portfolio data using Impact Forecasting’s catastrophe models and software (ELEMENTS) to provide detailed report for underwriting and risk managers
• Preparation and maintenance of hazard and risk datasets based on Impact Forecasting catastrophe models
• Occasional communication with clients when providing them with results or datasets (possibility of gradual development into an account management role to be able to autonomously handle clients’ questions and requests)
• Active collaboration with other Impact Forecasting and Aon Benfield team members from different offices worldwide
