Job description, responsibilities and duties

Amazon is looking for experienced candidate for an Operational Excellence Lead role within Finance Operations (Payroll) to identify, create, develop, and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our organization and will be responsible for monitoring and measuring the success of these improvements.

This is a key senior level position, with high visibility within the organization and will require the candidate to build strong relationships with our Financial Operations Technical, Compliance, Human Resources, Human Resources Services, Regional Payroll Operations and external vendor teams.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Working with global teams in reviewing E2E Finance processes and identifying improvement opportunities
- Leading and mentoring improvement projects (Kaizens, BB/GB, JDIs etc…)
- Developing, modifying and maintaining the operational and design effectiveness of internal controls
- Designing and conducting Lean Six Sigma and data analysis related training
- Coordinating with the Payroll teams in Slovakia to ensure best practices and reporting are identified, implemented and followed
- Analyzing the net present value cost impact of competing pricing structures.

Requirements for the employee

Personality requirements and skills

• Basic Qualifications - Preferred - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
• 8+ years of change management and process improvement or greater experience in business, back office, accounting, operations, logistics, consulting or similar field
• Proven project management ability that shows how to organize, find solutions, and follow through to a successful conclusion
• Led and mentored several improvement projects • Independent and entrepreneurial showing the ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to make decisions based on data analysis • Can successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
