Job description, responsibilities and duties

Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast paced world of European Financial Operations in Bratislava. We’re not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average finance position. Your responsibilities include:

· Playing a role in processing salaries for employees (payroll) in an EU country
· Handling confidential information
· Processing and reconciling payroll transactions (relocation, stock, additional payments)
· Participate in Kaizens and Greenbelts (Six Sigma) or other projects

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Experience/Skills required:
· Fluent in English
· Ability to cope with change and meet challenging deadlines under pressure
· Good analytical skills
· Positive/can do attitude as well as the ability to balance multiple priorities
· Team player - excellent interpersonal skills but takes initiative and can also work independently
· Customer focused
· Drive for operational excellence


Experience in payroll and working with payroll environment and systems
· PeopleSoft experience
· Intermediate level Excel skills (Vlookup, other formulas, pivot tables)
· Experience working within a multinational company/environment
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in corporate offices in finance, accounting or payroll is an advantage
