Job description, responsibilities and duties

Amazon is seeking a Fin Ops Controllership Analyst to support the Finance Operations payroll controllership processes at Amazon. We’re looking for a strong leader that will take ownership and drive change in a dynamic global business environment. It is expected the individual will ensure Amazon's Finance Operations processes stay ahead of risks associated with growth in areas of process design, internal control effectiveness, computer system integration, and other relevant areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead special projects to drive payroll improvements and integrations across the Finance Operations teams
- Develop, modify and maintain the operational and design effectiveness of payroll process and controls
- Coordinate with teams across IT, HR, Finance and Accounting to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented
- Audit access to multiple payroll systems
- Create and maintain business continuity plans for multiple countries

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

This individual must be eager to dive deep into processes and have a proven record of delivering process efficiency results. The preferred candidate will have outstanding auditing skills, problem solving skills, payroll process and payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree accounting/finance, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
- “Big 4” experience and/or equivalent audit and/or business controls experience
- Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.)

Preferred personal competences:
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Work experience in public accounting or internal audit
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Strong desire to exceed expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
