Job description, responsibilities and duties

Amazon is seeking a Manager of Payroll Transitions and Contracts to join its Finance Operations Payroll team. The Amazon Finance Operations team is a fast-paced and team-focused. This position will help oversee global payroll launches and transitions, perform market research, build business case for payroll vendor selection and working with legal and the project teams, construct payroll contracts with new payroll vendors. In addition, responsibilities will include partnering with the Amazon operations, Finance Operations technical teams, project management and external parties, performing research and planning around new countries, Sox and ISAE 3402 and new business initiatives. He or she will also aid the Manager of Payroll Ops Transitions in driving process improvement, automation and technology implementation of new payroll solutions.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Basic Qualifications

Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field.
Demonstrable experience of payroll implementation, transition and/or contract/work order development experience
Exceptional attention to details
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Understanding of the International Payroll market and vendor footprint.
Solid working knowledge of Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with legal in developing contracts

Strong analytical experience and an ability to understand many different global payroll processes
Proven understanding and experience working and communicating with cross functional teams and across all business levels from Analyst to Director
Excellent communication skills experience working with customers internally and externally
A strong work ethic with high customer service acumen.
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
A self-motivated and flexible working approach
