Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a Junior Development Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Innovation and R&D team, contributing to the creation of new original tofu-based product innovations. Your responsibilities will span from supporting the team during ideation, via product formulation using new ingredients to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and nutrition.


Accountabilities and deliverables

Support during product ideation and conceptualization stage:

  • supports marketing team to brainstorm and generate new tofu-based product ideas in line with brand and company vision
  • experiments and tests new ingredients, flavors and textures to meet our goal to create new original plan-based product concepts

Recipe Development and Formulation:

  • develop recipes based on brief provided by marketing/NPD managers
  • produce samples in laboratory environment and work with quality and production department to secure consistency during scale up for industrial testing
  • collaboration on calculating recipe costs

Quality Assurance:

  • coordination of microbiological testing and nutritional analysis of product samples
  • collaborate with quality control and assurance team to monitoring shelf life and conducting sensory evaluations to assess product quality over time

Documentation, Reporting and Administration:

  • development of the documentation of technological procedure for all new products, ensuring reproducibility and efficiency in manufacturing. Tight cooperation with production department to ensure smooth project handover
  • maintaining accurate records of experiments, test results, and project timelines
  • coordination of the sample shipments and management of the paperwork related to regulatory compliance

Presentation of prototypes and continuous improvement:

  • presenting product samples and findings to management, providing clear and compelling insights into product development progress and opportunities.
