What we do
At R&D center in Nokia Bratislava we are developing state-of-the-art technologies which allow our customers to move towards next generation of IP Networks by developing network management solutions and various features for large systems used by biggest network, content or telecom providers in the world.What are your job duties
Main tasks:• Remote & local technical support for ALU LTE & Small Cells customers in EMEA region
Technology : LTE & Small Cells ( WMS, HDM, Femto, Brick, BSG, IPC ....)
• - Analysis of reported problems (service requests) using remote connection, on demand on-site (collection &
analysis of logs, traces,...)
- Problem root cause identification and description
- Solution of the problem (final fix or temporary solution/neutralization) or problem escalation to higher level of support
- End-to-end problem management
- Patches installation & testing & acceptance
- Documentation of the analysis and findings in the ticketing system
- Remote or on-site installation (SW upgrade, patch, etc.), integration, acceptance test, etc.
- Communication with the customers and 3rd party suppliers (Sun, etc.)
- Rotation in 24/7 duty (availability by phone)
- onsite support in customer network if needed
General (mandatory) requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience in Technical Support Center team
• University Degree in Telecommunications, IT or similar
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• General knowledge of IT
• Able to discuss technical problems with customers, able to handle critical situations in customer's network onsite or remotely
• Experienced to work in international environment, willing and able to work in international teams
• Flexible, willing to work abroad (short-term)
• Willing to carry hotline support 24*7
• Proactive, with analytical thinking, customer oriented
Specific requirements:
• Knowledge of telecommunication networks and systems
• Telecommunication Standards
• Knowledge of UNIX
• Knowledge of IP protocols and networks
• Reading of Basic Shell and/or Perl scripts
• GSM / WCDMA/ LTE network elements & protocols knowledge is an advantage
