Nurses:
Job description, responsibilities and duties
· Preparation and administration of Treatment and Medicinals.
· Change of dressings, taking lab investigations, etc.
· Checking and recording of Blood Pressure, H.G.T. and other parameters ordered by the medical officer.
· Calling/Assisting firm/duty Medical Officer when required.
· Assisting the Consultant Psychiatrist during visits/review ward rounds.
· Assisting in Dental interventions by the resident Dentist.
· Administering first-aid (when necessary).
· Keeping records of all treatment given to every patient.
· Weekly procurements of medications from MHS pharmacy.
· Upkeep of all medical equipment on unit.
· Keeping records of Controlled Drugs, Night Sedations and methadone regime up to date.
· Protecting confidential, information in line with the Data Protection Act.
· Keeping of Nursing Records.
· Escorting of patients to other hospitals/courts (with police escort).
· Carrying out High Risk Nursing Supervision.
· Checking and recording of illicit drugs in urine as ordered by the medical officer.
· Weekly procurement of daily rations from MHS Provision Stores.
· Preparations of work request forms for general repairs/maintenance/night light etc.
· During nursing procedures the nurse is to be accompanied by a correctional officer.
· Security and patients privileges/permissions are under the jurisdiction of the Consultant Psychiatrist i/c and the CCF authorities.
· Liaison with support services and other sections
· Ordering and issuing of Materials and Supplies
· Office work including IT as may be required.

Packages for a Full-Time Employment start from € 22,482 per annum, made up of the following:
· Basic pay € 15,539
· Additional remuneration for Sundays and Public Holidays worked € 2,316
· Government Bonus € 512
· Entitlement for Public Holidays € 971
· Nursing Premium € 2,444
· Continuous Professional Development (CPD) € 700

An additional allowance of € 2,093 is added to the remuneration package of those who possess a locally accredited BSc degree in Nursing, thus increasing the gross salary to €24,575.

Employment term/ Hours:
· Contract period terms are negotiable.
· Full-Time employment – 40 hours per week, duties may include day or night shifts on a rota basis.

The Company will provide all assistance for relocation as well as assistance in processing all related documentation and employment permits.
