Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* supporting management with proposals and analysis for decision making
* developing profitability and economic culture, entrepreneurship mindset
* ensuring high quality managerial accounting and reporting
* responsible for preparation of Budget & MTP
* responsible for preparation and reviews of KPIs and action plans
* responsible for preparation of rolling forecast (short-term, mid-term)
* responsible for control of CAPEX projects
* supporting evaluation of new investments (expansion, cost savings, continuous improvements etc….) and perform audit to re-evaluate the performance of approved projects
* performing profitability analysis of customers, segments, products, activities and projects
* ensuring correctness of sales recognition, cost of goods sold recognition, cost natures and cost objects classification, inventory control and valuation
* ensuring reliable and timely Financial Statements and Reports (Local, IFRS, Managerial)
* responsible for analysis of monthly P&L at the level of entity/ plant/ department, including variance analysis vs. Budget and Last year

Maintenance, Overhead and SG&A
* responsible for analysis of monthly Balance Sheet and Cash Flow (CAPEX, Working Capital, Free Cash Flow)
* set-up, maintain and review cost objects, cost allocations, projects structure, product costing, managerial reporting and tools aligned with AGC procedures and best practices
* set-up, maintain, review and recommends improvements of controlling tools (SAP, GARPS, BFC, Cube)
* set up, maintain and improve internal processes and controls in finance/ controlling area compliant with SOX
* perform time to time internal audits on internal processes affecting financials of the company (Inventory, Fixed Assets, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistic, HR)
* be the window for external and internal financial auditors
* lead, train and develop members of finance/ controlling department

Organization:
* plant located inTeplice, turnover of ~22 mEUR/ year, ~270 employees
* be the right hand and report to Plant manager
* cooperate closely with Shared Service Center located in Teplice in relation to Account Payables, Credit Management and General ledger
* lead team of 2 or 3 subordinates

Closing & Reporting
* perform month-end routine inside ERP and MES-LES
* prepare statutory reports for local and group requirements inside Consolidation tool
* prepare managerial reports (by entity/ plant/ department)
* perform analysis of actual results compared with budget and last year, identifying the deviations, working closely with all departments to provide information and explanations in the deviances against budget and last year and define actions to recovery gap
* coordinate periodical performance reviews according to governance defined by company
* support definition of KPIs, theirs calculation and collection according to management requirements (SEQCDDM(S=Safety,E=Environment,Q=Quality,C=Costs,D=Development,D=Deliveries,M=Management)
* coordinate reviews and follow-up of key action plans as defined by management (PDCA (P=Plan,D=Do,C=Check,A=Act)
* evaluate and control Investment projects
* elaborate Forecast/ Budget & MTP together with all involved departments
* perform various financial analysis to support short/mid/ long term decisions
Costs & Profitability
* prepare profitability analysis of products, projects, customers, segments
* continuous improvement of cost & profitability analysis to improve our margins, being competitive in the market and aggregating more economical value
* Preparation of Project Cost-Price Quotations and control profitability of Project from beginning till end
* Analysis of Cost Centers and Work Orders, ensuring correctness of direct cost assignment (material consumption, direct labor, machine) and indirect cost allocation
* support elaboration of Forecast/ Budget & MTP with product cost and profitability inputs, breakdown and analysis
* perform various financial analysis to support short/mid/ long term decisions

Accountant
* assess if really needed for petty cash and account payables and be a link between plant and shared service center

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

* University degree in Economics/Business School and/or Business Administration
* Minimum five years of experience in Senior Controlling position
* Fluent in Czech and English
* Strong Leadership and Communication skills
* Strong knowledge of Managerial accounting (standard costing, activity based costing)
* Strong experience with ERP, MES-LES, Reporting tools (SAP preferred)
* Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel (sophisticated formulas, lookups & data queries, pivot tables))
* Strong background in internal processes
* High integrity, hard worker, hands on, performance driven and vigilant
* Energetic & proactive communication
* Autonomous, can accomplish the task from start to completion
* Self-motivated, team-oriented, with a desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
