The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager Food, Central Europe based in Slovakia or Czech Republic. Position is home based and accountable for realizing set goals and objectives respective of the business plan. This position has an excellent understanding of corn based products and applications, as well product limitations and nontraditional product usage. There will be an emphasis on account prospecting, qualification, relationship building, customer service, and account maintenance duties. The position will be responsible for marketing ADM products to existing and future customers as well as achieving optimum financial results in line with market and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the main duties of this role will be to:
­- Manage an existing portfolio of customers for food starches and sweeteners ­that are essential for business success
- Cover the Central European market which includes Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia and Baltics
- Implement business plan as it relates to customers and budget figures (volume/prices), including market development, logistics and support by product development
- Manage current customer relationships through all phases of the sales cycle while establishing and building new relationships
- Responsible for contract management through the full contract life, including supporting credit management process
- Maintain a clear understanding of customer needs and the potential of the market through regular and accurate forecasting
- Identify and analyze potential new markets or customers that will enable growth, and actively contribute to the execution of these plans
- Traveling to customers will be an important part of the sales tasks

The candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following:
­- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food or chemical engineering
- Proven selling experience and track record in either the corn industry or a related food ingredients environment
- Good business acumen
- Able to function independently whilst retaining the ability to focus on the group targets and demands
- Strong personality, with a demonstrated capacity to excel under pressure, and a good negotiator
- Ability to develop strong professional customer relationships
- International work experience
- Fluent in English
