Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Supporting Team Leader in deployment of in-line, off-line and mobile measurement technologies.
- Supporting handover / buy-off of systems (to plant) as per JLR standards to include, spares list, full user and Maintenance guides etc.
- Working with peers within Metrology Systems to establish and document best practise with respect to in-line, off-line and mobile inspection. Work with plant to ensure adherence.
- Working with plant to ensure they have received appropriate training for the hardware and software we provide.
- Driving cross plant alignment by supporting “The Metrology Leaders Forum”.
- Undertaking any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

- Familiar with basics of metrology
- CMM programming
- Good knowledge of statistics
- Some understanding re. gauge and process capability
- Aware of purpose and process of gauge R&R
- Comprehensive MS Office
- Catia or similar experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have a Full Driving License
