Job description, responsibilities and duties
We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive company OEM in Nitra. We are hiring for the positions of Launch Leader – Paintshop.
- Lead the delivery of paint launch build phases, both in UK and in Slovakia, in order to deliver a flawless product launch via the Launch Quality Operating System. Manage exceptions and containments during build phases.
- Support and lead activities with PD (Product Design), AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) to ensure all future products and process requirements are in line with World Class Factory targets.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the workload of your team in line with the departmental scorecard and actively drive the team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Launch budget planning and tracking, preparation of accurate and objective program status reports.
- Support and lead during critical project gateway reviews.
- Lead planning and delivery of pre-volume vehicle build specification matrices and build events
- Lead Safety First and Customer Focus mind set within the team
- Develop a benchmarking strategy for People, Plant, Processes and Products to allow the new paintshop to “Be the benchmark,” developing and rolling out Lessons Implemented program for best practice.
- Support World Class operator training and facilities and activities in UK and Slovakia.
- Lead and develop a strong mentality in your team for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment.

- Strong background, demonstrating leadership and team management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels via reports, presentations and workgroup briefings
- Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude, and ability to work unsupervised
- Experience of implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques and working practices, continually striving for continuous improvement
- Good experience of working with computers and IT, especially Microsoft Office applications and Googlemail
- Knowledge of procedures regarding safety and ergonomics
- Ability to be flexible with working hours, shifts and overtime
