Job description, responsibilities and duties
Our client one of the world's leading companies in the sector and the largest home appliance manufacturer in Europe, needs an Embedded Software Engineer to help them grow. You will develop control systems for new generation technology. In a full life cycle position, responsible for requirements analysis, software design, coding, test plans, and production delivery. Working hand in hand with other teams (hardware, systems, etc) you will make sure the final product hits goals.
Other responsibilities include:
•Estimates in project work plan for assigned tasks
•Regular updates of assigned task progression for project planning, tracking and oversight
•Propose new product process or infrastructure improvements
•Be part of the team working on current status, relevant data and constructive opinion at meetings
Improve existing code by recommending the improvements as necessary.
•Solve problems as part of a team or individually, to meet the needs of the project.
•Prepares program reference by documenting the source code.
•Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
•Consensus building and team-focused behavior

- Skills in (ANSI C language in embedded environment, low-level C development on 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers (e.g. Renesas RL78/RX, ST STM8x, ARM Cortex MCUs).
- Experience with Bare-Metal, and/or RTOS embedded programming.
- Experience with using modern tools and IDEs (e.g. Eclipse / QT…).
- Familiarity with common communication protocols (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C, USB, TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of interrupt driven operation, DMA, error handling.
- Familiarity with good code structure, maintainability, and source control practices.
