Job description, responsibilities and duties
We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive company Jaguar Land Rover in the Nitra. We are hiring for the positions of Plant Launch Manager – Paint.
- Lead, manage and develop the Plant Launch Manufacturing Paint Launch team.
- Develop and execute the Paint Launch team recruitment & development plan in conjunction with key stakeholders and suppliers to support ‘Best in Class’ people readiness.
- Develop the Paint Launch plan then lead and manage the team through all its build phases, ensuring the product design & process is feasible, facility design is world class and meets Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Ergonomic standards.
- Incorporate and develop Lean Systems & thinking into the Paint Technology Launch plan and ensure these behaviours are fundamental in its deployment.
- Collate and present full programme status reports for programme milestones and Senior Management reviews.
- Lead and manage the problem landscape, escalate as required and personally assist in problem solving. Ensure that all problems are accurately recorded and tracked to resolution using relevant business systems and processes.
- Lead the incorporation of Lessons Learnt from all current JLR Paint areas into the process/facility solutions to take advantage of improvements in cost and quality.
- Develop and execute a communication plan to ensure all Key Stakeholders are proactively engaged.
- Support development of the Nitra JLR ‘Best In Class Maintenance’ system.

- Experience of leading a team within a Paint/Coating Operation, preferably using Aluminum as the base material
- Experience of using a Quality Operating System and its tools (e.g. 5S, Standardised Work, Yamazumi, etc..)
- Good understanding of paint preparation, application, repair and conditioning processes
- Proven ability to influence and/or manage people and a clear commitment to meeting deadlines
- The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to deliver key objectives
- Good experience of working with computers and IT, especially Microsoft Excel, Power point & Word
- Confident in ability to prepare & deliver presentations to management team
- Ability to be flexible with working hours/ shift at short notice
- Ability to manage and coach teams of production associates and launch staff
- Proven, competent problem solver
- Experience of using a Quality Operating System and its tools (e.g. 5S, Standardised Work, Yamazumi, etc..)
