We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for defining concepts and strategy for the plant’s maintenance operation. This role will then transition into an operating function for Body Construction, Paint or Final Assembly.
The Maintenance Manager oversees and monitors all maintenance activities for the installation, repair and upkeep of the machinery/equipment including mechanical systems and other structures. The Maintenance Manager will directly or indirectly oversees approximately 25-30 team members as well as contracted personnel.

Main Responsibilities:
• To develop, define and set up new a maintenance concept for the company including contents, shift schedules and manning for preventive/ predictive production integrated maintenance
• To define the organisation required to support maintenance activities in development, launch and operational phases
• To participate and actively drive design reviews during engineering development phases to ensure maintained, safe and environmentally compliant operation of process and production
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering in the deployment of standards to support initial and external equipment designs
• Proactively take-on operational responsibility from Engineering and external suppliers and ensure smooth introduction of new models
• Plan, organise, direct and evaluate contractor/construction projects
• Short term and long-term planning of the maintenance activities
• Develop and ensure training schedules for maintenance skilled trades and technicians are up-to-date on the most current technologies
• Responsible for all equipment and have responsibility for OPR and automation projects
• Maintain key interface and build strong relationships with engineering and maintenance teams across site as well as support functions such as advanced manufacturing engineering during design definition phases
• Track, analyse and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilisation, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
• Execute continuous improvements in regard to waste reduction and energy consumptions and coordinate best
• Continuously monitor, improve and drive all environmental initiatives to maintain and improve standards required
• Develop programmes for record retention (machinery/equipment/facility repairs), preventative maintenance, build standards, job training, etc. for the maintenance/facilities function
• Benchmark industrial solutions for continuous for best practices and equipment robustness

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Main Responsibilities:
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience working in a maintenance role as a leader of engineers and manager of engineering projects
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Experience deploying complex first generation equipment into a production environment
• Broad understanding of designing, programming and maintaining automations, robotics, motion controls, PLC’s and HMI’s
• Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets
• Able to demonstrate confident negotiation and communication skills
• Experience creating and reviewing risk assessments for industrial automation equipment using safety standards
• Robust adherence to R&M processes, e.g. MTTR, MTBF, FMEA
• Strength in problem solving & root cause analysis using adequate toolsets
• Knowledge and proven skills in one of the following: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Project Management
• Proficient in English
• Willingness to undertake international travel
