Job description, responsibilities and duties

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of Plant Quality Engineering Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Drive problem solving activities across all areas and levels of the plant, using structured problem solving techniques (e.g. 8D, 6 sigma)
• Manage the cross functional plant problem solving team, to ensure that key issue are being progressed ( Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
• Responsible for Quality activities during vehicle launch phases, from design through to Launch
• Key liaison between PD engineering departments and plant manufacturing to ensure key quality issues are being addressed
• Plant lead for IPS Problem solving adherence and performance
• Responsible for driving manufacturing areas to achieve key Internal Quality Performance Metric (PCPA)
• Responsible for Managing DQR
• Drive the plants Premium Customer Performance Audit (PCPA) metric, through individual area sufficiency plans, to achieve better than target performance
• Manage the plant Gate hold / Stop ship / Facility tag processes for any major quality issues

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

• Relevant Engineering Degree
• Significant experience within automotive manufacturing, and /or processes
• Ability to lead cross functional teams
• Ability to collect, collate and communicate data effectively to all levels within the company is essential
• Be able to demonstrate application of data collection and analysis
• Proven Problem Solving skills and techniques, with experience of complex problem solving activities
• Good statistical and numerical reasoning skills
• Business proficient in English – verbal and written
