Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a Database Administrator you will be the final solution provider for international customers. The main goal of your role will be to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

We will expect from you the following:
• Good awareness of the customers business and in-depth knowledge of the customer’s environment and support processes.
• Comply with the ITSM & SLA standards by observing the Incident Management lifecycle processes.
• Be proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service availability and critical response time, and take necessary mitigation steps escalating to management’s attention, where appropriate.
• As IT systems never sleep, you will be required to perform an out of hours standy service on a regular basis according to your teams schedule.

Responsibilities:
• Incident Management (Incident Investigation & Diagnosis, Resolution and Recovery, Incident Closure)
• Problem Management (Problem Initiation, Problem Ownership, Root Cause Owner, Problem Analysis)
• Change Management (Change Implementation)
• Technical Owner Role
• Routine IT Operations


Qualifications:
• Very good understanding of administering Windows Server
• Advanced in MS SQL Server environment
• Advanced in IIS solution - big advantage
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of practical experience in MS SQL Server administration
• Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
• Experience within an international environment is a plus
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Service oriented behavior and communication to internal and external contacts
• Fluent in English
