Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for candidates for the position System Administrator. Our client is a global provider for complex and integration solutions in IT field. The subsidiary is located in Košice.

Main responsibilities

- Administration of enterprise storage and backup environments, design, implementation and operation phases of the service life-cycle
- Operation based on ITIL: incident management, change management, problem management, knowledge management; 1st, 2nd, 3rd level support and project work
- Working environment: SAN, NAS and backup platforms and components of all major vendors:
HDS, IBM, EMC2, NetApp, Symantec, Brocade, Cisco; filers, SAN switches, tape libraries, disk arrays and related infrastructure
- On call duty, 24/7 standby and/or shifts

Desired skills and experience

- Experience and knowledge of system administration in a complex environment and at least one server operating system
- Good understanding of network concepts: TCP/IP protocols, Ethernet, NFS, CIFS
- Scripting skills (shell/Perl/Python)
- Experience in enterprise backup or storage environments is an advantage (nice to have)
- Language skills: English – advanced, German – pre-intermediate and higher
- Communication and team skills, fast learner, flexibility: on call duty, 24/7 standby and/or shifts
