Senior Technical Cloud Consultant / Designer of Cloud Solutions

We are looking for candidates for the position – Senior Technical Cloud Consultant/ Designer of Cloud Solutions. Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing company’s cloud infrastructure and delivering the performance, reliability, security and process agility needed to deliver our client's services to its businesses and customers. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, know DevOps, have proven leadership ability, and experience supporting business activities in and converting to PCI compliant e-commerce environments.

Responsibilities

- Leading all system management activities for production and non-production (dev and stage) environments and assuring operational integrity and quality across all environments.
- Execute the provisioning of capacity to meet fast-changing workloads and executing all deployments and change/config activities.
- Assuring deep data collection and performance analysis on all production environments and workloads; assuring high quality data flows need for metrics, analytics, and SLA management
- Availability Management of infrastructure
- Optimize operational costs across multiple datacenters
- Management of infrastructure outsourcing relationships

Requirements

10+ years of experience architecting and supporting production network infrastructure
Proven experience of managing infrastructure outsourcing relationships

Desired Knowledge or expertise:
- Scripting with Perl, Python, Ruby, awk and shell
- Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, Redhat, Centos, Debian)
- TCP/IP, network protocols and algorithms
- NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra a plus)
- Configuration Management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
- Wide range of application environments (Tomcat, Nginx, Php, Ruby, memcached etc)
- Deployments in excess of 100 servers
- PCI Compliance: change management, intrusion detection, log management, vulnerability management, etc.
- VPN configuration

Some knowledge of the following technologies, tools and languages:
- Advanced tomcat and nginx configurations
- DNS, LDAP, SMTP
- Amazon EC2 (VPC, RDS, S3)
- Security
- Hadoop cluster management
- Strong analytics and troubleshooting skills
- Proven track record of leading a team

English fluency is a must another European language will be beneficial
