Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Main responsibilities
- Mapping, describing and maintaining all information relevant to the information systems (at file, database and virtual machine levels) and/or other matters, in order to be able to recover the environment
- Recovering environments at individual file, database and virtual machine levels or entire infrastructure environments
- Documenting all matters relating to backup and recovery, preparing recovery instructions for fellow administrators, assisting functional administrators when performing acceptance tests on recovered environments
- Drawing up, implementing and maintaining an IT disaster recovery plan to be run once a year and delivered such that it is fully operational in accordance with the SLA
- Timely reporting, administrative tasks
- Working with HP Data-Protector, HP P6300 SAN storage, Citrix Xenserver for virtual environments – Experience necessary
Desired skills and experience
- University degree in Information Technologies
- Experience and trainings or courses in backup/recovery methods
- Experience with storage (NAS/SAN/iSCSI)/networks/archiving and virtualisation technologies
- Experience with disaster recovery methodologies
- Experience with database systems
- Knowledge of enterprise processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good oral and written English language skills
