WHAT WILL
YOU DO

The role will function as a member of various project teams within Sourcing Operations.
The specialist will independently manage supplier interactions and will work in coordination with other roles required.
Successful candidate is expected to quickly demonstrate the ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Focus:
o Expected to always meet targeted deliverables quality objectives
o Quickly builds rapport and credibility with external parties such as customers and suppliers at
all levels
Technology Solution Expertise:
o Understands and is conversant in the features, functionality and applicability of one of the following technology: Ariba Sourcing, Emptoris, SAP, Oracle, other eSourcing platform
Practice Development:
o Acts as a co-ordinator of the supplier relationship throughout sourcing project lifespan which includes,
but is not limited to:
o Answering project questions and facilitating the answering process
o Proactively communicating project information to suppliers via phone, email and eSourcing Tool
o Confirming supplier understanding and participation in projects
o Training suppliers on Sourcing events eRfx, eAuctions
o Performing Event Day Execution to coordinate all operational activities and
communications during the eAuction
o Conducting post bid follow-up with suppliers including solicitation of cost breakdown
data.
o Proactively communicates weekly supply base status to customers which includes, but is not
limited to:
o Communicating the number of suppliers contacted versus responded
o Communicating incumbent conversations, questions and status
o Communicating the project lot coverage if applicable
o Communicating reasoning behind supply base attrition
o Communicating expectation of supplier participation and pricing on bid day
o Researches and develops knowledge in a certain industry or commodity
o Perform supplier research and identification with support of the team
o Demonstrates an excellent problem solving aptitude
o Understands and complies with work instructions, process documents and technology tools
Teamwork:
o Appropriately identifies and escalates supplier issues within and across teams, including
Manager, Category Manager and Project Manager
o Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills within a project, customer
or leadership team.
o Effectively coordinates Regional Supplier Management resources around the globe

WHAT WE

Education and Experience:
o University degree
o Speaks fluently English + German
o 1-3 years in the sourcing / procurement world

o Polished customer service skills
Knowledge:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
o Sourcing process knowledge is a plus
