WHAT WILL
YOU DO

The People Advisor supports general human resources activities, specifically in the area of performance management, career development and compensation. People Advisor supports the management team and enhances communication with employees in all relevant matters, identifies and proposes HR solutions closely aligned to the business needs.
Responsible for educating supervisors and career counselors on processes including legal implications of not following a proper process and ensuring that career counselors and supervisors are executing the process correctly.


Key Responsibilities:

Career Management
  • Coach supervisors and career counselors to enable them to develop and coach employees.
  • Be aware of the Career Management Assets/Tools, understand the content, and be prepared to educate Career counselors and supervisors on Career Development
  • Execute Programs and Processes related to Career Management (for example: Career Counselors Enablement, coach and advise on creation of Career Development Plan, career counselor assignments)

Engagement & Recognition
  • Enable delivery of Employee Engagement and People programs and activities by coaching the line managers and providing advisory support

Annual Process
  • Execute Annual Performance Management process and associated compensation activities
  • Preparation of materials for execution of rating process - Participation in the rating meetings ensuring rating distribution, promotion guidelines

Discipline & Grievance
  • Handle employee discipline and grievances and consult as appropriate (review grievance case details, check policy, establish course of action and discuss approach with employee, facilitate informal resolution)

Exit Management
  • Receive and review leaving request, discuss and agree next steps of leaving request (e.g. potential for continued stay, employee’s last working day, etc.), initiate actions for exit management in case of death, conduct and confirm exit interview, follow up on assets retrieval after employees leave.

Customer Contact
  • Educate and redirect employee to use myRequest or find answer from knowledge base
  • Help to resolve escalated issue form contact center or assist in finding appropriate solution

Employee Data
  • Ensure accuracy of employee record data (for the data the PA manages and maintains) for supported employee population through defined channels including:
  • Directing supported employees to use self-service channels such as myRequests - Initiate low volume data updates to maintain employee record data via defined channel such as myRequests
  • Work with local HR Operations teams to log Mass Upload requests for high volumes of employee data changes (e.g. Cost Center /Org Unit updates, Career Counselor changes etc)

Reporting
  • Provide additional insight/information on a specific matter (e.g. attrition, celebrating performance, headcount, etc.) by using existing standard reports, requesting ad hoc data pulls to shared services

WHAT WE

Education: University degree
Work Experience: 3+ year relevant strong experience in HR
English Knowledge: Advanced
Type of contract: Substitution for maternity leave

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

o Knowledge of Human Resources core concepts such as career management, performance management, compensation, etc.
o Knowledge of employment laws
o Good knowledge of Microsoft applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Good organizational skills
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to learn fast
o Understanding of the external marketplace/trends
o Understanding of data privacy and confidentiality
o Excellent follow-up skills
