Job description, responsibilities and duties
YFAI Logistics Procurement currently has a job opening for a Logistics Procurement Buyer. Within this role, the candidate will be responsible for procurement to pay activities supporting on EU/RSA transportation spend, made up mainly from the modes of full truck load, less than truckload, milk run/consolidation, premium freight, ocean, air, and local dedicated contract carriage.
Main responsibilities:
• Domestic Road transportation tender management.
• Drive continuous improvement actions & rate reduction.
• EU Fuel Surcharge management.
• Outbound JIT/JIS logistics service supplier sourcing, contract.
• Warehousing service negotiation.
• Freight payment management .
• Carrier development & management (KPI)
• Carrier dispute resolution/claims management.
• Carrier Rate agreement creation and maintenance.
• Frame Contract creation, negotiation and maintenance
• Co-operation Commodity Strategy development
Main responsibilities:

Educational Specialization
Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience in Logistics, Automotive industry experience preferred
• Diversified modal management background, procurement experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical and problem solving ability
• Understanding of supplier cost drivers and total cost of procurement
• Result orientated working mode – ability to set goals with company objectives
• Strong attention to detail, planning/organization skills and follow up
• Strong data analysis skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experienced with using TMS and e-bidding tools
• Travel 25% (plants, supplier)
• Languages: fluent in English mandatory, German desired
• Minimum of two years of experience in Logistics, Automotive industry experience preferred
