Job description, responsibilities and duties

The successful candidate will join a global team which currently has five people based in the Bratislava location and others based in USA, UK and India. In this role, the successful candidate will learn about Swiss Re as a global organisation and its structures plus key policies and processes supporting strategic outsourcing. This will include exposure to the various regulatory requirements, best practices, data and innovation that apply to outsourcing oversight. We are looking for a driven, pro-active and conscientious team player as the role will include involvement in various local and global projects and initiatives with the opportunity to lead some of these.

• Assists in the process and activities by which outsourcing vendors are analyzed, selected, and classified to Outsourcing policy standards, and to ensure assurance that required local legal, compliance, and operational matters have been addressed from a global perspective.
• Assists in the maintenance of the centralized reporting database in support of Group and Divisional reporting requirements as specified by the Group Outsourcing Policy and the Transition Management process.
• Assists in relationship management activities of a large business process outsource provider including financial, compliance, and operational oversight.
• Assists in the process and activities by which work processes are moved to different Swiss Re locations, including the assurance that required local legal, compliance, and operational matters have been addressed from a global perspective.
• Responsible for assigned projects related to operations in Overland Park, US, Bratislava, Slovakia, and in New Delhi and Bangalore, India.
• Manage the document and information flow needed to support all of the above activities
• Maintain physical and electronic office records and ensure the scope with guidelines and compliance regulations, follow up any issues raised (liaising with external parties, such as lawyers and auditors, coordinate with subject matter experts as Legal & Compliance)

Personality requirements and skills

Experience:
• Preferably 5 years of working experience in area of finance, procurement, insurance or similar
• Experience in project management methodologies and project management
• Experience with risk management, legal and compliance requirements (counterparty and contract experience is advantageous)
• A process perspective, Six sigma certification a plus
• Prior experience with multi-location projects
• Comfortable working virtually, and globally
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously delivering high quality results in terms of process, content and timeliness
• Experience in structuring and forming business to business relationships

Skills:
• Accomplished Microsoft office skills, especially MS Access, Sharepoint and MS Excel
• Ability to research, build, work with and implement new technologies
• Influencing skills to lead teams and comfort working in a matrixed environment
• Demonstrate effective people interaction skills
