Branch Controller

We perform General Ledger closing activities on quarterly basis, such as:◦Accounting – tax, FX variances, investment income allocation,
◦Controlling – reconciliations of accounts, reasonability check of General ledger
◦Reporting tasks – reporting to external (regulatory bodies, tax authorities, etc.) and internal (Chief financial officer, Branch managers) partners.
•We prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting
•We deliver presentations and financial analysis to Branch managers
•We provide financial information to top management to enable timely and accurate decision-making
•We are focal point for branch auditors, we summarize and prepare all requested information
•We search for improvements of processes and drive Finance related projects

About the Team
We, in the Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team are responsible for supporting the branches of Swiss Re with financial analysis and reporting according to local statutory, IFRS and US GAAP policies as well as local tax jurisdictions. We support legal entity and branch accounting, controlling and reporting activities. Further, we ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.
Each team member has assigned 3-5 branches. We have complex financial overview about the assigned branches.
As our department is rapidly growing over time, we are searching for new colleagues to become a part of our team. We cooperate with Finance managers, Branch managers, Tax department and Auditors. We are currently involved in the transition to new IT system.
