The primary focus of this position is to support the MEU Research, Development&Quality (RD&Q) Cheese&Grocery Category and also the multiple Global RDQ teams based in Munich Research&Development site on all financial aspects such as Accounting, Controlling, FP&A as well as scenario planning/modeling.

This includes:

Responsibility to manage the actual results and planning process for Cheese&Grocery category.
Monthly presentation of key financials to category director plus detailed commentary on variances with RD&Q Controller for consolidated reporting.
Regular interaction with country Finance, EBSC and also foreign Finance counterparts.
Ensure policy compliance for key policies.
Work with RD&Q FP&A Manager to ensure accurate cost information is shared for annual TMO charge out process to ensure the legal entity is generating sufficient profit in line with current Transfer Pricing rules.

Task details:
• Facilitate the monthly closing according to US GAAP
• Monthly actual reporting and variance analysis against Annual Contract of ~$25MM
• Facilitate a target-focused planning process and its communication
• Reporting of strategic reserves (if applicable)
• Responsibility for approval authority for workflow / SRM system (if applicable)
• Active monthly management and reporting of Balance Sheet accounts
• Maintain and manage ~40 SAP cost centres
• Ensure compliance to key financial policies
• Facilitate various head office reports (gift, payments)
• Fixed asset management & verification
• Contact for
  • (International) site & category employees / cost centre manager / management
  • Financial Controlling (country headquarter)
  • Country HR team
  • Interco / General Ledger / AP departments

Work in the International Environment with the engagement of Intercompany partners, US-head office and site staff.

Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behaviour; maintain an environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.
