Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Serves as the key IS liaison and partner to the business process area of Cash Collections which define the strategy for how Mondelēz International interacts with its Customer base on service and accounts receivable
  • Defines and applies technology strategies and toolsets to cover the following core business processes/activities:

• Credit Management – Establishing Credit Policies, Assessing New Customers Credit Risk, Extending existing Customers Credit, Monitoring and assessment of overall Credit risk to Mondelēz, Management of Bad Debts, Managing Letters of Credit, and Dunning Processes
• Accounts Receivables – Establishing A/R Policies, Collection Activities, Cash Application, Deductions Management, Cash Planning and Disputes Management
• Management of Customer Contracts

  • Leads the technical capabilities and data requirements of Cash Collections solutions within the context of the related solution roadmaps for OTC
  • Leads and builds a team of Cash Collection functional experts who deliver business value through their expertise and help drive growth in business
  • Develops the IS strategy/roadmap for building specific capabilities to enable business in meeting strategic objectives
  • Builds robust IT solutions which are sustainable and drive Application Rationalization and Process Harmonization
  • Ensures project delivery excellence in line with laid out business objectives at lowest possible costs, in agreed timeline and realizing business benefits
  • Collaborates as a part of the Global OTC IS CoE Cash Collections team in the delivery of global technology and process improvement projects
  • Develops and leads the business strategies for Global Cash Collections systems and translate them into optimized business processes and functional requirements and align with stakeholders on systems roadmap
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage and share systems from across MDLZ to reduce costs and promote standards
  • Manages external IS Strategic Partner resources on technology improvement requests or projects
  • Leads the delivery of PTC projects as per roadmap and ensure projects delivered on time within budget and scope
  • Ensures transparency of costs and total cost of ownership of all system
  • Drives Application Rationalization - Year on year reduction of applications in the systems landscape

Personality requirements and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain area
  • Experience in Global Consumer Packaged Goods Company advantage
  • Strong experience with Multiple ERP (preferably SAP) life- cycle project
  • Understanding of all data elements within the Cash Collections solution space (i.e. Master Data, KPIs, PPIs etc.) and Cash Collection related processes
  • Deep understanding of interfaces from the SAP ERP System to internal and external applications
  • Ability to understand business process performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement of business processes enabled by technology
  • Understanding of the touch points with Commercial, Front-Office processes such as Sales Promotions, Product pricing strategies, Trade Terms and Conditions etc.
