Description/Scope

This role is the key IT point of contact customer relationship management, customer-facing web and mobile solutions or services in the local market. Consulting with business partners to shape demand and determine how to support the business through the effective use of technology, this role participates in business planning, business analysis, needs analysis and risk assessment. Working with colleagues in other markets, and the Regional Centre of excellence, this role promotes adoption and value from current IT capabilities, and identifies and drives essential new market solutions as part of an EMEA organization.

The role encompasses all IT activities needed to support customer interactions for product launches & life cycle, sales force management and efficiency, events and service management on one hand in addition to disease services, integrated care solutions and adjacencies like prevention and adherence services. It includes activities for marketing, sales, medical affairs, and customer support team and market access.

The IT Business Analyst is a member of the In-Market IT team within the Pharm Commercial IT EMEA organization.

Key Responsibilities
Work with business partners to clarify, develop, and plan for their current and future technology needs.
Connect with the wider J&J organization (e.g. cross-sector) to leverage expertise and best practice
Identify new or unmet needs in the business (including with our customers), propose IT solutions, develop and present business cases and project charters for projects with the business.
Be a partner to the business during strategic planning and identify opportunities for technology to support the business’ strategic objectives.
Proactively drive communications within IT and with our business partners, using structured and traditional channels as well as social media.
Identify opportunities to enhance business performance, including opportunities or synergies that involve new technologies or process redesign. Generate ideas that use technology – especially in the areas of Customer Engagement, Digital Channels, Operational Analytics and Productivity & Collaboration to improve key business processes, fostering innovation, improving speed, cutting costs, adding value.
Deliver local or regional projects, and new market solutions in alignment with regional governance.
Proactively manage third party service providers and vendors to ensure collaborative high quality delivery according to plan
Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans
Establish/propose goals, objectives, and operating procedures, in accordance with Regional and Global J&J IT strategy
Prioritize the work of the Customer Engagement, Digital Channels, Operational Analytics and Productivity & Collaboration areas, to effectively deliver against local business needs and shape regional capability.

Personality requirements and skills

Understanding of the business and its operating environment (knowledge of the pharmaceutical business is preferred)
Knowledge of the in-market plans/initiatives and the ability to quickly come up to speed on the critical success factors for a business partner
Experience managing medium sized projects, or components of a larger project in the areas of focus, working in close collaboration with local and regional business teams
Build effective networks with business partners and stakeholders
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and IT partners.
6+ years of relevant experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent or 5+ years with advanced degree or equivalent
Very good English language knowledge
Attention to detail, very good communication & presentation skills
Goal driven personality, proactive attitude
