Job description, responsibilities and duties
Supplier Performance Engineer guarantees the respect of the process validation / quality milestones to achieve full compliance with Purchased components program requirements, support to resolve significant current model buy parts issues to our company, Manufacturing Operations, supports the Commodity Purchasing strategy in development of the global supplier base.
Responsibilities:
New Program Launching
• Participate as a member of the project team
• Drive the development and implementation of effective APQP/LRR and Safe Launch Plan of their suppliers
• Conduct and validate onsite supplier manufacturing Process and Capacity (OEE) as well as ramp-up safety stock
• Validate and approve New Program FULL PSW from High Impact suppliers
• Report status to the Project team and the Supplier Program Leader (SPL)
Current Model Program
• On site supplier local support (process or capacity audit/8D review/Road map) for significant supplier quality issues at Visteon plants (warranty or line stop as example) based on respected escalation process
• Participate to supplier “Escalation Process” meeting when requested and validated by Management
Commodity Strategies
• Conduct New Supplier on site Assessment and review self assessment when mandated by Commodity Purchasing
• Follow development plan from strategic suppliers when requested/validated by the Commodity team
• Provide feedback and strategic inputs from suppliers for Commodity Purchasing when requested (strengths/weakness, management structure and interface, organisational maturity and responsiveness)

• Certificate of internal/external auditor for IS TS 16949
• Knowledge of VDA requirements (VDA 6.3 C certificate is an advantage)
• Knowledge of APQP disciplines, PPAP process, 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, Capacity Verification, VPDS Supplier Quality Milestones
• Flexibility
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel often
• Fluent English
