Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our client is looking for a developer experienced in creating complex web applications: pages dynamically generated using JavaScript and modern web frameworks. Our applications have a lot of client side logic and are not simple front-ends even though they communicate with a server using AJAX. This job gives you freedom in developing the applications based on your design but challenges your responsibility to integrate it with parts developed by other project team members.

Following skills are required:

• Proven practice in Web development and general orientation in this field.
• Advanced experience with Java Script, HTML and CSS.
• Good knowledge of OOP (object oriented programming) and OOP thinking.
• Experience with dynamic Web content delivery using external Web Service back ends (JSON/XML RPC, REST, SOAP or others).
• Experience with resolving HTML/CSS incompatibility problems in various Web browsers.

It is an advantage if you have experience with complete web site development including page layout, styling using CSS, breaking down graphics designs into individual components used on the web page.
However we are primarily looking for an application developer rather than a website developer.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

JavaScript - Advanced
HTML - Advanced
CSS - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

If you know at least one of the following it is a big advantage:

- Experience with JQuery and AngularJS,
- SQL databases,
- Geospatial (GIS) formats and protocols: KML, WMS, WCS, WFS,
- Java SE, Java EE, EJB, Hibernate, JSP, JSF, other Java Web development frameworks,
- Data formats and processing XML, JSON, XSLD,
- Scripting languages: Python, PHP,
- Configuration of Web Servers (Apache, IIS or Java application servers),
- Graphics design and use of related tools,
- Development of Rich Internet Applications in Adobe Flex and Action Script.
