Support specialist

A major and fast expanding international company, operating all over world is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position Support specialist.

Responsibilities:
- Providing 1st and 2nd level support for our customers and distributors on OPEN SYSTEMS environments.
- Monitor production and pre-production systems using network management and manual tools.(we do not really monitor systems but this might be a parts of new service plans)
- Execute monitoring activities as per the Operations Run Book
- Identify and respond to incidents.
- Qualify incident impact and urgency and communicate with the customer.
- Troubleshoot and apply fixes, participating in maintenance activities with customer
- Participate in any system maintenance activities that are being performed during the shift. Assist with pre and post testing of the service.
- Work closely with Deployment and Tier 2 Support teams to capture required data for further troubleshooting. Promote cooperation and team work across the organization

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar job context
- Hands-on knowledge of Windows servers and Unix servers (LINUX RHEL , AIX or SOLARIS) systems.
- Familiarity with Java environments
- Knowledge of databases ORACLE or MS SQL
- Knowledge of at least one of the scripting languages : Perl, Java, Shell, XML
- Strong command of English language. Excellent written communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in real time environments
- Strong personal leadership - ability to lead self, lead team, lead the business
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
