Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud - Management Infrastructure Engineer

The main focus of team is the management and implementation of infrastructures and applications under cloud strategy for our customers.

The MIE team's core focus is standardization of VPC's MMI/PMI and Core compartments. This team's primary focus is on infrastructure and how management compartments are built and deployed in VPC for both production and shared labs. This team must be engaged for all new VPC releases and enhancements prior to release or deployment in lab and production environments.

MIE primarily works with the requestors (architects, developers and engineers) to gather details on their existing or future solutions for VPC. These solutions can require server hardware virtual and physical, network SAN, firewall rules, and load balancer request. Once we gather the solutions details MIE creates the implementation guides and implements either a new solution or an update. MIE works to build the solution in the VPC labs and ensures that all required details are known prior to rolling to production. We work with network hardware, servers, SAN in the process of the builds in the lab and confirm deployment guides are accurate. Additionally we interact with HMCO (our VPC delivery group) to ensure and ensure the solution is deployed consistently across all VPC sites production sites

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of company technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.
· Often leads small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.
· Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
· Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
· Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.
· Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution of the company strategy.
· Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared. Role models Focuses on single customer. Solves diverse and complex. May lead a project team.
