Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent experienced and capable Occupational Health Physician based in the North West of England. We are one of the leading national service providers of Occupational Health in the United Kingdom.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Occupational Health Physician / Consultant to join our forward-thinking and innovative Occupational Health and Well-being team. You will contribute to our Occupational Health and Well-being Service and play a key role in the ongoing development of our company and service provision for clients. This role has key interaction with key clients and the candidate will assume full responsibility for the clinical delivery of our range of Occupational health services to these clients.
Job Requirements:
You will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer for the Group and help in shaping our service provision for the future. In this role you will almost act as clinical lead, acting as a consultant and support to the clinical staff for nominated clients.
Your role includes improving quality and safety standards, delivery of targets, service modernisation, cost reduction programme, governance and risk.
You will undertake a range of services including weekly clinics in Manchester, Stockport, Leeds, Hull and Liverpool providing medicals, management referrals and other specialised activities.
Skills/Qualifications:
To be successful in this Occupational Health Physician role you are required to be GMC registered. The company will fund and facilitate you becoming a Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine or equivalent once in post in the UK.
You should have completed an internship within the European Economic Area and be able to demonstrate registration covering the last five years with a medical authority that you have been registered/licensed with. A certificate of good standing will be required.
A valid International English Language Testing System (IELTS) certificate will also be required.
We are looking for an Occupational Health Physician who is hard-working, takes ownership of their work, is reliable, loyal, a good communicator and a team player. You should have exemplary report writing skills. As an Occupational Health Physician you must be self-motivated, willing to earn respect, honest and dedicated to the job.
You will need to have a belief in loyalty, integrity in addition to possessing excellent leadership and motivational skills. The role requires approx 2 nights per week away from home to service the clinical obligations in the North West of England.
