The French Bel Group (12 000 employees worldwide) is the European #1 Branded Cheese manufacturer and ranked 3rd of the worldwide branded cheese market with very strong international brands such as The Laughing Cow, Kiri, Mini Babybel, Leerdammer, Boursin, as well as some of the most important local cheese brands such as Karicka in Slovakia. The Bel Group operates internationally in 130 countries and have 30 production sites worldwide.
Since 2000, Bel Group has been established in Slovakia through the production plant located in Michalovce, as well as through commercial subsidiary located in Bratislava. The Michalovce plant is a strategic plant for the Bel Group producing among others the successful Mini Babybel cheese.
