This is a rare opportunity to join an incredibly fast growing company, in the early years of its development. We are looking for talented individuals, who can bring expertise with an enthusiastic 'Can do' attitude to our team and help us build a new, complete, Finance team in Bratislava.
iptiQ EMEA was setup by Swiss Re in January 2016, and is an integral part of the Life Capital group of entities. Being part of a large group, and benefiting from the backing and resources it offers we have grown quickly using Finance specialists based across Europe. Our size and growth are at a stage where we need a dedicated Finance hub for our company that works closely together in one location. We looked at our existing European Countries and identified Bratislava as the right place to grow our finance team. Main tasks:
1. Maintain and develop our cost projection model, Volume projection file and automatization of our cost center reporting (excel based)
2. Support and develop technical and functional knowledge of the service-base cost management ('SCA') methodology, including the assembly and distribution of costs into services and allocations into Swiss Re business segments
3. Ad-hoc reporting for business customers, esp. controlling and reconciliation analyses.
4. Monthly Management Report execution/automatization.
5. Perform quality and consistency checks to ensure a high quality of your deliverables and outputs
6. Support the Head of Controlling and the controlling team by providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to all relevant stakeholders
7. Support in providing both standard and ad-hoc analysis and presentations
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

About the team
The iptiQ EMEA Bratislava Controlling Team has numerous responsibilities for day-to-day financial controlling, such as forecasting, planning and reporting, analytics and commentaries for iptiQ EMEA. It will also be operating on new finance systems, with implementation taking place during 2018.
The need for the extension of the team is driven by the current and planned rapid growth of the business. The team will play a pivotal Controlling role in supporting the wider iptiQ EMEA business through its set up and growth phase.
The person in role needs to challenge the status quo and identify improvements. The role holder needs to be a positive, energetic and forward looking individual who enjoys problem solving and is able to deliver results to agreed deadlines.

iptiQ EMEA Finance and Actuarial teams, including CFO

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

You should have experience in working in a financial services environment
Advanced MS Excel modelling skills, MS Access and VBA programming highly desired
You will have a University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration
Experience in a controlling/FP&A role is an advantage.
Experience of finance systems
Strong in problem solving and analysis
Structured working style and the attention to detail and good communications skills
Excellent personal time management, prioritization and deadline adherence
Strong communication skills - ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Team-player, willingness to contribute actively and showing a high degree of own initiative
Engaging and motivating
Excellent command of the English language and German as a plus
