Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for our Statutory / US GAAP reporting team responsible for the Accounting & Reporting of the Finance and Investment Companies. You will assume responsibility together with the local Accountants in different European countries in the end-to-end Accounting & Reporting process of assigned legal entities, according to the relevant statutory accounting principles. You will ensure compliance with local / Group requirements and the internal control framework.

Main tasks:
- General Ledger booking, reconciliation and balance sheet substantiation (Statutory / US GAAP)
- Support the legal entity in either Statutory , US GAAP and Economic reporting in compliance with relevant accounting principles - management reporting, annual accounts production, ad hoc reporting
- Contribute to active management of the Balance Sheet e.g. Cash, Capital monitoring
- Coordination within team and with external stakeholders
- Ensure operational compliance with local and group policies and internal control framework

Main activities of the team are:
- General Ledger Accounting for Statutory closing and reporting for Finance and Investment Companies.
- Preparation and coordination with internal & external auditors to conduct audit activities, contact person for assigned entities for internal stakeholders and internal / external auditors where required
- Quarterly Group Reporting according to US GAAP accounting principles as well as Economic Valuation method (EVM) including analysis and Legal entity reporting to Senior Finance Management, BoD and other stake holders
- Contribution to projects as required
- Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor

Stakeholders and Customers:
Communicates effectively with team members in Bratislava and other European locations as well as our stakeholders. The main stakeholders are Non-Technical Accounting team, Global Investment Reporting, Real Estate, Treasury, Tax and Global Service Operations.

Information about the selection process

- 7+ years in Accounting or Audit with Accounting / CPA qualification
- Expert knowledge regarding relevant statutory accounting and reporting policies e.g., Luxembourg GAAP, Swiss GAAP and/or US GAAP
- Experience with accounting including the production of Annual Accounts, the Audit process and respective reporting (statutory)
- Analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a target-oriented environment
- Analytical and methodical work-style combined with good business judgment and high-quality output
- Ability to communicate at the management level and lead meetings efficiently
- Team player used to work in a highly professional and international environment
- Intercultural competencies and the ability to understand complex processes and quickly adapt to changes
- Fluent in English, any other European language especially German is a plus
